Construction of Distribution piping started in January 2008 for the Southeast False Creek, Neighborhood Energy Utility (NEU) System in Vancouver, BC. The Energy Centre is to be located beneath the Cambie Bridge and will service nine buildings in the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Village, as well as several new condos that are currently under construction in the area. The piping runs East of the Cambie Bridge along First Ave, which is undergoing an entire reconstruction, with a new DHS system designed by FVB Energy Inc., and all other utilities coordinated by Stantec. Buildings will be connected to the system in late 2008 or early 2009.
